Ukrainain soldiers get an ultimatum from Russian-backed militants
Ukrainian media report that members 40th specialized motorized Krivbas Battalion near Debaltseve have received an ultimatum from Russian-backed militants to surrender by 11 pm or be destroyed.
Monitors from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) have been notified of the situation, but have been prevented by militants from visiting the Ukrainian troops following the start of the February 15 ceasefire agreement.
Leaders of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic on Sunday said that the area in and around Debaltseve belongs to them.
